We believe that the body is not a trophy but, instead,

a tool to mobilize our souls.

Ottawa Fit began by accident.  After being laid off and becoming a house dad, triathlete and runner Geordie McConnell needed some social contact with the outside world so he began a swim group at the Plant Pool.  The swimmers showed an interest in spinning so Geordie rented time in a spin studio.  A year later, he bought 11 bikes and rented a small studio space down the street from where he lived in Hintonburg.

Fast forward 10 years and the Ottawa Triathlon Club is one of the most well-respected clubs in the country, built by it's members and coaches.  Side by side with it is the Ottawa Running Club, a community running group that has raised thousands for charitable purposes over the years.  To secure the future of the organization in the fast developing area of the city, Ottawa Fit purchased its own property in the spring of 2014 and extensively renovated it from a 100 year old rental home to a fitness studio.

Now situated beside Parkdale Park in the official heart of Hintonburg, Ottawa Fit is excited to further enhance its role in not only serving the community, but continuing to help build the community.  From day one we have attracted a wide range of amazing members, some of whom have graduated to become the club's coaches and trainers!
