About Jabo

A simple man with simple needs, Jabo believes that sometimes there need be no other reason to run a race than for the pure joy of it.  
He gathers with his friends a few times a year to run 5k, 10k and half marathons over beautiful, sort-of-accurately-measured courses. 
There is no entry fee, no shirt, no timing chip.  There is just the runner and the distance, plus some friends to celebrate with. 
There is also no real organizer or waiver.  That's why we named the races in honour of their inspiration: 
Just A Bunch Of Friends Out For A Run.

 

Further Details
Entry Fee: $0

Souvenir Race Shirt: Bring a marker pen and we'll all sign whatever shirt you're wearing.
Timing Chips: Usually a bag of salt and vinegar 15 minutes after the race.
Results: We'll yell out your time as you cross the line then you have the option of writing it down on our clipboard.

Fan Support: The more patient your pacing, the more teammates there will be cheering or you at the finish.

Comfort Stations: Like your parents always said, remember to go before you go.

Aid Stations: Members often bring some some home baking to share post race.
